When I 1st tried on these shoes, they were going to be impossible to wear as the material at the back of the heel was way too high and cut into my tendon. I took them to a shoe-maker and he built up the base of the shoe above the heel so my heel would be higher in the shoe. I wore them to a wedding last weekend and though they could have been lifter a bit higher, they are much better. I have another weeding to go to this weekend and will wear them. I had lots of comments on my lovely shoes - but may still take them back to shoe-maker to lift a little bit higher.

I Love them! Just found the front opening where the toes are, a little too long. But maybe I have short toes!

I love the shoe except for the way the upper part of the zipper digs into the back of my ankle. This of course caused a big blister and open wound in the area that it rubs. I can get around this by placing a strong piece of tape in that area. A band aide or scotch tape will not suffice. The shoe was otherwise surprisingly comfortable. I hope with continued wear they area that is so stiff and rubs will loosen up.

I have not worn the shoes yet, so I don't know how well they hold up for wear, but they are very comfortable, the leather is soft, and the sole is cushioned. I did not pay attention to the height of the heal, and assumed it was a 3" which it is not. it is taller than 3" - but that is my mistake. Very nice, fun shoes with apparently good quality.

They said they were a 38 they were not. They were about a 41 - they were too big for me but they fit my daughter-in-law. So they are now hers. They are beautiful.

The reviews I read before ordering all talked about the smell when you open the package, which I found to be very true. However, I assume it’s because they are handmade, and it doesn’t really bother me. Also, my feet are hard to fit, but I’ve had no problems at all, which is a nice surprise. I half expected to need to return them when they didn’t fit, but they’ve been great. My understanding is that they are made to order, but the shipping time was quite long, and I wonder if there is a way to speed it up at all. Overall, I will say that this is the first time I’ve spent good money on decent shoes in a very long time because my feet are so odd. I ordered because I couldn’t resist the colors, and I’m glad I did. I have a black tie dinner coming up, and I can’t wait to wear them with the perfect dress!
